Biennale of Sydney 2024

For the 25th Biennale of Sydney, we were bestowed the great honour (and logistical curse) of opening the White Bay Power Station as an arts and cultural venue to the public for the very first time.

Essentially, it was my role to manage the installation of the exhibition while a casual $150m building renovation occurred simultaneously alongside / all around / directly on top of us. Long story short, concrete was still being poured on opening day. Also asbestos is terrible.

Once again I also snuck in as the lighting designer of the thing – which was great – and we also powered much of the exhibition on hydrogen… the first arts event in Australia to do so.
